In a 2021 partnership with Michael Kerns and The Vancouver Opera, Kayla led a team of technicians in creating scale white models of Hospital equipment, such as boom lights, mobile CT scanners, equipment booms, and monitors, for the Cape Breton Regional Hospital’s renovation mockup. The replicas were functionally mobile and set up in mock operating rooms. This project was featured in Saltwire Magazine.
